Sturmgewehr 44
The development of the weapon began in the 1930s, when the German army was looking for a replacement for standard rifles that were too long and inefficient for modern warfare. Designers at Haenel and Walther produced several prototypes, the most successful being the MKb 42(H), which became the basis for the later StG 44. After testing and refinements, the weapon was officially adopted into service as the Sturmgewehr 44 in 1944. The StG 44 used an intermediate ammunition between pistol and rifle ammunition, the 7.92×33 mm Kurz cartridge, which allowed for a higher rate of fire while maintaining accuracy at medium range. The rifle had a capacity of 30 rounds and allowed firing single shots and bursts. The gas system with a rotary bolt ensured high reliability. The gun had a robust pressed steel body, which allowed for more efficient and cheaper production. Although it was slightly heavier than modern assault rifles, its ergonomics and innovative design gave German soldiers a significant advantage on the battlefield. The overall length of the weapon was 940 mm, the barrel length 419 mm and the weight was 4.6 kg without magazine.
During combat deployment, the StG 44 gained a reputation as a reliable and powerful weapon. It was used primarily by elite units on both the Eastern and Western fronts, but due to limited production capacity it did not reach the majority of German infantrymen. Approximately 425,000 were produced by the end of the war, not enough to change the course of the war, but the weapon clearly influenced the future development of infantry armament.
After the war, many StG 44 rifles found their way into the hands of Eastern European armies, guerrilla groups and later African and Middle Eastern armed forces. Its design inspired the development of modern assault rifles, including the famous AK-47, which adopted some of its key design elements. Today, the StG 44 is considered a groundbreaking weapon that was ahead of its time and influenced generations of military weaponry. Surviving examples are highly prized by collectors and gun historians alike.

+ Opravdu obrovský výběr zbraní, mezi nimi i rarity na které člověk jen tak nenarazí + Profesionální a přitom lidský přístup. Velmi ochotný a příjemný personál + Je poznat, že lidé v tomhle projektu jsou skutečně srdcaři a to se odráží i na super kvalitě služeb + Rozhodně služeb využiji i příště! + Střelba ze zbraní jako Thompson M1, K98 nebo MG42/M53 byla skutečným zážitkem! - Zkrátka nemám co vytknout. - Možná jen to, že i BAR 1918 by mohli mít v nabídce. Ale to je jen maličkost... :)

Výborný zážitek! Oceňuji především velký a zajímavě seskládaný výběr zbraní obsahující i méně běžné a dostupné kusy - třeba střelba z kulometu ve mně zanechala silný dojem. Kvituji opravování mých chyb při držení zbraně a střelbě samotné ze strany instruktorů, kteří byli i ochotni zodpovědět mé dotazy co jak funguje, odkud zbraň pochází, jaká je její historie apod. Rád někdy zopakuji. Žádné zásadní nedostatky nebyly, možná jen aspoň trošku počítat s časovou flexibilitou, kdy jsem na své dráze dostřílel pistole, ale na vedlejší dráze s kulomety / puškami ještě dokončoval svou střelbu jiný klient.

Byli jsme s přítelkyní a rodinou na střelnici AL a nemůžu zážitek dostatečně vynachválit. Ohromný výběr zbraní s mnoha raritami a profesionální přístup všech zaměstnanců udělal dojem na všechny zúčastněné, i na ty, co zbraně zrovna nemusí. Nedávno dokonce přítelkyně přišla s triky a i přes pár nedorozumění při nákupu a vyzvednutí (z naší strany hlavně), opět, naprosto profesionální přístup a trika skvělá. Příjemný materiál a moc povedený design. Doporučuji všema deseti komukoli, kdo má zájem o to, zkusit si něco nového a (oproti ostatním střelnicím) pořádného.
